.... BUT I LOVE YOU!!!!

This song written by Howard Dietz and composed by Arthur Schwartz was first sang by comedian Fred Allen in the 1929 broadway production, The Little Show (very successful revue at that time with 321 performances).

This truncated recording is from the Album "Lost Broadway and more" released in 2011 and sung by Michael Lavine... i truncated it because i think you should buy it... just as i did on iTunes!!!!

Both Hammacher Schlemmer and Roebuck & Sears were retailers of coffee machines from the production of the family Robbiati in Milan.

... and now i waltz in my flat, singing over and over again:

### Hammacher Schlemmer, I love you.
Roebuck and Sears, i adore you.
If you want to buy a bassinet or buy a hog,
Don't be in a fog, use our catalogue,
Hammacher Schlemmer, you're sweet and dear,
Hammacher Schlemmer, I repeat dear:
Macy's and Gimbel's have plenty of thimbles,
But i love you ###
