Replacement parts...

Replacement parts for Szigony/Qualital coffee makers.
It came together with a coffee machine which leaflet dated 1973 (see here).

Stella Wien - Model 405E

I have been after this model for ever since i made this pictures here

In most cases, i assume that one can guess the size of a coffee machine when you see a picture on an advert:

Or on a vintage letter, presenting the advantages of it:

Or on this original picture of a fair in the Netherlands:

But i was not prepared.

I knew it was big.
Now i know, it is HUGE:

Things just don't change... don't they?

We (Men) all do it: making coffee.

We rarely know why.

Here, in an 1967 advert, the Bon Trading Co. gives us the deep-rooted psychological reason:

"It gives them a feeling of domestic independence."

"Electa" Brevettata... n°6

There has been the only stove-top-only version:

This one, that a friend of mine spotted in a private collection:

This one,

which is now in Lucio Del Piccolo's collection:

This one,

which has joined my collection,

as well as this one:

here:

Both together:

And lately, i received this picture from Giorgio Gennaro:

All the same... all different (see here).

But Giorgio's picture made me shake my head in disbelief,
because never had i seen this:

All the other machines i knew have this knob:

2014... the never ending story.

Prototype...

(Remember this here)

Well,
I had to see the original patent,
And i had to experience this prototype again,
And i had to share these pictures with you now.

It's visceral.
