The Model "Midipress" - Szigony M.V. / Qualital (Budapest)
Until a few weeks ago, when Lucio Del Piccolo virtually "presented me" Marco Bachi,
all i had seen of the Model "Midipress" was this:
Another picture was very interesting to me, gave me the opportunity to see the inner life of the machine.
(The shape of the base looks slightly different)
Marco raises his glass of Brunello di Montalcino & I raise my glass of Santa Cristina 2010 to Lucio Del Piccolo's health and shout out loud:

Desider Stern - Patent HU139856
Earlier to the patent i just posted to illustrate the Model "Mocca", is the following one:
My knowledge of Magyar is inexistent.
So before i go in any interpretation... i will leave it here.

"separately in other posts"
This page has been visited a bit more the past days, which gave me the occasion to read it again.
Why did i say that i would treat A.&M.G. Sassoon and Szigony M.V./Qualital separately?
Unlike Brevetti Robbiati (Milan) & Stella (Vienna), A.&M.G. Sassoon (London) and Szigony M.V./Qualital (Budapest) were using the trademark "atomic" exclusively on one coffee maker.
So it is absolutely correct to speak about A.&M.G. Sassoon "atomic" coffee machine.
It was available in 2 models:
_ The Standard Model
_ The Capuccino Model
Talking about Szigony M.V./Qualital "atomic" coffee machine would be equally right.
That brings me to the next point.
You looked at Magdola's smile (previous post).
But.

Did you dare looking at the shelf?
If you have been following my Blog, some machines are of no secret to you anymore.
You probably recognise withou any problem:
_ The model "Elektro"
_ The model "Bambi"
_ The model "Minipress"
_ The model "Midipress"
_ The model "Atomic"
_ The model "Piccolo"
... but what could the model "Mocca" be?
Could it be that little machine on the top right corner?
Something like this?
That it was designed by Desider Stern was of no surprise to me.
It looks like a fore-runner of the Stella Model 402E.
Here is the patent 140878:

Magdolna Szőllősi 's contagious smile
Once you can get your eyes off Mrs. Simon's radiant smile,
You might notice one or two interesting machines on the shelves.
I know which one Marco Bachi immediately spotted.
Coffee Tasting Seminar with Johanna Wechselberger
Vienna School of Coffee, 17th April 2012.
We were a very mixed group of 7: One was Barista (she made the travel from Germany to take part to this course!!!), One technically very knowledgeable, One who roasts his coffee himself at home... Some brewing filter coffee, Some with a semi-automatic machine.
I think i would sum it up accurately if i'd say Johanna Wechselberger brought up each and everyone of us one step further (for myself, at least, several steps).
Not only you get to taste espresso the way it suppose to be, you also get infected by Johanna amazing aura.
(For the complete neophyte here, Johanna is SCAE Masterbarista level 3, SCAE authorized trainer & Certifier, Gold cup Brewmaster & author of "The Ultimate Coffeebook")
My personal eye-opener was how much of a difference 1 bar, 3 degrees, a few seconds in coffee-water contact or the freshness of the coffee makes... and other "details" like a lasered filter (vs punched), straight filters (vs conical), and Pre-infusion... among others.
These really made sense for me on that day because all these facts were taken and treated one by one.
And yes, even the humble unexperienced espresso drinker i am could taste the difference in the cup.
Far away from all the expertise you get to read here and there, you get this knowledge served tailored on your tongue... you experience it. What an amazing experience!
Clearly, there is a lot i won't be able to apply for myself (due to budget, time etc)... but i knew exactly when and where i could do things better, the moment Johanna pointed specific points out.
And the bonus to taste other ways to make coffee (like cold-drip), ear thousands of anecdotes from Johanna's 15 years in the coffee business, smell cascara, touch the beans and see the hard but rewarding work it takes to achieve excellence in the cup... it was a real impression-filled 5 hours!!!
There was something for all senses.
I thoroughly recommend and join Johanna's call:

Morgen Latte in Deutschland
So you can take the electric base away from the Brevetti Robbiati coffee machine Model "B"...
...that is if you are called Frank Kletschkus.
(here)
Ok... the base was not working.
Anyhow.
He has more than GUTS to make his machine climb to 3,5 Bar!
Then he has the skills to foam and make Latte art!
And he is a professional photograph!
And he wishes to contribute to my Blog!
How lucky can i be?

Prepare yourself for some rather naughty pictures!
***
(Tell me you haven't noticed the green knob of a "La sorrentina".)
Pretty convincing results!
My favourite picture!
Yummy!
I guess next time, i will be getting pictures of the kitchen wall splashed with coffee ;.)
Nice one Frank!
