Imre Simon - head of the Szigony Müszaki Vállalat business in Budapest - patented this invention in 1966 (demand in 1964).
His idea was to make a coffee maker suitable to be used in car.
This didn't get the public response he awaited, so he made use of his patent for 2 other coffee machines:
_ a stove-top version he sold under the name "Piccolo",
_ a electrical version he sold under the name "Minipress".
They were cast at the Qualital plant... but the Qualital business didn't exist as such anymore in 1964... my research is still ongoing at that time, so i keep this open as for now.
