But after reading many blogs and coffee websites... i got the impression i was not made from the same wood as these collectors and snobs.
Maybe for this small detail...
... the best drinking experience i had was when i was in good company.
I know, i know... equipment, provenience, beans, roasting, grinding, temperature et caetera et caetera et caetera...
but if you ask me... there is nothing like drinking coffee with a friend.
To friendship...
It's with a drop of Vermouth and a small tear in my eye that i share with you the following picture.
My grandparents had a coffee in a small village in Brittany... something we call "café plus" in my area.
"Café plus" because my grandfather was selling kitchen and farming utensils, nails by weigh (not by piece!!! "i'll take a glass of red wine and 1/4 kilo of nails"), tools and bicycle equipment, repairing bicycles as well as roof gutters, driving people around (a local taxi)...
This "Café plus" was run many years by my uncle and aunty before closing last year... one of the last of its kind in France.
I am sitting on this very chair and green table every day... and if i listen carefully...
PS: I made more than 100 posts ... time to make a break! See you in September for some more stories!
Remember you can vote and comment on each post... and even more if you like (missing leaflets are always appreciated).
Thank you for your visit and take care of yourselves!
