Lately i was visiting Mr. Bugram in Vienna and asking myself what this little thingamajig near the bakelite knob is for. (here left on the picture)
A brief look on the patent... et voilà!
It's a whistle!
This whistle is supposed to tell you when the sufficient pressure has been reached to operate the coffee machine.
