Manlio Marzetti patented:
"Combined with a vessel containing water to be heated is an insulating disk on the bottom of the vessel, and two electrodes of graphitic carbon int the form of coaxial cylinders resting thereon, a receptacle containg the tea to be infused, and a pipe leading from the inside of the vessel to convey the boiling water to the receptacle."
