Then came a wagon... they didn't know where they were heading.
After 2-3 hours of train, they arrived in Budapest.
Desider Stern ended up at the Keleti Pályaudvar train station's workshop...
... He offered to get bits of pieces if anything was missing because he had some contacts.
The major thought it was a good idea... and was giving some hours, sometimes half days for him to get the wanted item.
Desider Stern often took this occasion to go home, change clothes and visit his customers.
Each were allowed 4 days off... not everyone had family in the neighborhood or the members of the family were already deported.
Desider Stern organized to pay the 4 days of others... for 200 Pengö.
Same thing, Desider Stern visited his customers with his "holiday form".
